""Eternally grateful to Robin for literally turning around a Bell's Palsy situation after two weeks of consistent acupuncture. Through her support, skill, wisdom and warmth Robin got me through a shocking time where on Day 1, the entire side of my face was drooping and then by Day 14, the droop was undetectable and I was on the mend physically & emotionally. All I can say is wow & huge gratitude for her work." -JG

Robin Gellman, L.Ac.

Robin is a national board certified (NCCAOM) acupuncturist, licensed in DC and Maryland. Robin earned her diploma in acupuncture from The Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (MITCM) in 2004.  She studied with a stellar China-trained faculty who brought their extensive practical, philosophical and clinical experience into the classroom and the working clinic.

After graduating, Robin deepened her clinical experience while working as acupuncturist under the guidance of Dr. Xiao Ming Tian (“Dr. Ming”) in his prominent acupuncture practice. Dr. Ming is a member of The National Institutes of Health’s National Advisory Council for Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

In the tradition of Chinese Medicine, Robin approaches each patient as an individual with a unique health history and story. She customizes a gentle acupuncture treatment plan for each person's particular needs.  Robin’s goal is to ensure a deeply restorative and relaxing experience to facilitate the healing process.

Robin, herself is a recovered “stressaholic”, after many years of being a TV Producer.  More than a decade ago she left the world of TV production and studied Chinese Medicine in a bid to heal herself, and then to assist others to do the same. Today, she helps people overcome chronic illness, relieve stress, reduce pain, acute problems and promote overall wellness.

A mother of two high-energy, fun and funny boys, Robin is aware that living a balanced, healthy and joyful life is challenging in this fast-paced world, where time and deep connection is at a premium, and where it becomes a challenge to take care of ourselves.  Acupuncture is a wonderful way to embark on the life-long journey toward wellness….holistically and without side-effects - and through an ancient therapy that "motivates" or "reminds" your body to do its own healing.

To continue to nourish her practice, Robin regularly attends educational seminars on "new" acupuncture & healing techniques & perspectives:  nutrition & food as medicine, gut-brain connection, Qigong ("Chi Gong"), medicinal botanicals and integrative medicine.  Robin has a daily Qigong practice, which is an ancient Chinese system of movement (like yoga) that promotes internal energy, flexibility, stress relief & health.
